This week we started learning the piece of music “Boom Boom Beat,” this is the first piece we are learning for our music incursion. We listened to the song, listening carefully for important features and instruments used.

After this we learnt a body percussion ostinato (repeated pattern) and performed it as a class. We then transferred what we learnt from the body percussion activity onto percussion instruments ad performed it.

 

Finally we learnt how to play the ostinato on Boomwhackers and Chime bars.
